Our support personnel can help you with a variety of issues remotely.  From installation to troubleshooting, many times we may not need to be physically present in order to help.   We can use what are called "Remote Control" tools to connect to and control your PC from one of our certified support systems.

  • Secure Access - We can only access the PC when you manually run the program and click "Connect", so no one can remotely access your computer later without you knowing it
  • Visual Verification - The screen continues to display, so all actions performed by the support technician can be monitored
  • Verified Connection to Continuen Support - The connection selector only allows the user to select one of our certified support systems
  • Small Footprint - After installation, it only uses 3.6M of disk space
  • Doesn't Use PC Memory - Only executed when needed, so a background process is not using up CPU cycles or memory when not being used
  • Quick Removal - After use, you can click on the provided "Uninstall" option in the "Start" menu to completely remove it in seconds with only 2 mouse clicks

NOTE:  Before attempting to install and use the remote control solution below, be sure you've contacted Continuen's Support Dept. and someone knows you need assistance and is available to accept your PC connection.  


How To Install Continuen's Remote Support Tool:

  1. Click on the above link (Remote Support Tool Download) and select "Run".
  2. Allow the installation package to run and simply accept all the defaults.
  3. Upon completion of the installation, FastVNC will display a connection selection window
  4. Select the connection specified by the support technician and then click "Connect" and we'll do the rest from there.

Notes:

  • Some software firewall or anti-virus programs will popup a warning about this program. It is safe to say "Ignore" or "Accept".
  • Continuen support personnel MUST be notified and ready for you before attempting to connect -- otherwise the connection will simply fail.
  • If the PC is already running VNC Server then you won't need to install our Remote Support Tool.  Right-click on the VNC icon in the system tray (lower right-hand corner) and select "Add New Client", then enter cs3.continuen.com and click "Ok".
  • We can support other methods of remote support as well.  If you have a preferred method, notify the support technician.
